Avenue Q is on the move again to its third home in London’s West End when the current run finishes on the 13th March 2010. The histerically funny musical will find a new home at the Wyndham’s Theatre. Alongside the move many of the shows cast members are moving on, the show will welcome Paul Spicer, Jacqueline Tate and Delroy Atkinson to the scruffy street.

Avenue Q has now selected the musical theatre star to replace Julie Atherton in the roles of Lucy The Slut and Kate Monster.
The roles fall to rising musical theatre star, Cassidy Janson, who will take on the roles in the hilariously funny musical from the 5th October 2009.

Yesterday I recieved the Avenue Q newsletter and it announces that after 3 years of performances in the show, Julie Atherton will be leaving the cast of Avenue Q.
Her last performance as Kate and Lucy The Slut will be on the 3rd October 2009 so there is still just over a month before she moves onto her next project.
They have promised that they will be announcing the new Kate Monster / Lucy The Slut soon.

The hilariously funny irrelivant puppet musical known only as Avenue Q has announced that it will be extending it’s current run at the Gielgud Theatre until January 2010.

Tonight’s the night – the re-opening night of Avenue Q in it’s new home at the Gielgud Theatre in London’s Shaftesbury Avenue.
After being announced earlier in the year that Avenue Q would be closing in March it seemed that ticket sales increased as people rushed to see the show before it closed.
This reaction made the producers have a little rethink and they took the decision to instead give the cast a break and re-open at the Gielgud Theatre. Tonight is the night that it re-opens.
