Disney's The Lion King Reports Best Ever Year For 2009Another successful 2009 for a West End Musical and Disney’s The Lion King reports 2009 as the most successful run for the now 10 year old show at the Lyceum Theatre.

The production grossed more than £32 million at the box office throughout 2009, a staggering £1.8 million more than 2008 according to the shows producer.  This increase was not triggered by a change in ticket prices either as prices remained consistent with 2008.

The year was finished off with a Lyceum house record taking £880,000 at the Box Office over just 9 performances seen by 18,757 theatregoers with an average attendance of 101.2%.
