Purchasing musical theatre tickets is not hard or complicated and as really as easy as purchasing anything else online. However you do want to make sure that your purchasing your tickets from a reputable ticket agent.

This is made a whole lot easier by purchasing your musical tickets from ticket agents which subscribe to the STAR (Society of Ticket Agents and Retailers) code of conduct which ensures firstly that your tickets are actually going to get you into the theatre (avoids the danger of ticket touts) but also helps to ensure you are getting the best deal in terms of customer service and all the information you need about the event and your seat.

1) Ticketmaster – Ticketmaster is probally one of the biggest and best known ticket agents in the UK. They don’t only sell musical theatre tickets (or just theatre tickets) but tickets for all kinds of events and concerts like pop concerts, plays and sporting events.

As they work directly with the theatre and event producers and charge a low booking fee (normally not more than £5 in total) their prices are normally the cheapest around for booking via a ticket agent.

2) Discount Theatre – Discount theatre as the name suggets specialise in tickets for theatres in the London area and can take bookings for all of them. They have a large range of shows which you can book tickets for and can have really good prices so are always worth checking out as on occasion they can be cheaper than Ticketmaster.

3) Theatre Tickets Direct – Theatre Tickets Direct also sell only theatre tickets in the London area and I have to say have overlapping prices to those listed by Discount Theatre. Again they have some really good deals but I would advise not to book tickets from here when they are not on offer as they can be as much as £15 more than Ticketmaster.
