Sister Act
Sister Act at the London Palladium
Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder which ultimately means she has to go under police protection. The police decide to put her into the one place where they think no murderer will think to look – a convent!
Sister Act follows Deloris who has a habit of getting on the wrong side of the mother superior but has a loyal fan base amongst the nuns. To make the most of her time in a place she’s not immediately comfortable in she turns her musical talents to the currently tuneless choir.
She helps the choir find their true voice and helps breath some life into the convent and the surrounding neighbourhood. However all is not good in the hood as her good work could possibly of blown her cover and when the gang make chase to catch her they underestimate the power of her new found friends in the sisterhood.
Sister Act is based on the 1992 film starring Whoppi Goldburg. And Whoppi is not far away in this production as she is working behind the scenes producing the London Palladium production of Sister Act with Stage Entertainment.
